1. What PestMatch is

PestMatch is an online marketplace that introduces homeowners and occupiers ("Homeowners") to independent pest control professionals ("Pest Controllers"). We are not a party to any contract formed between a Homeowner and a Pest Controller and we do not provide pest control services ourselves. Any work carried out is a contract solely between the Homeowner and the Pest Controller.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be 18 or over and legally able to enter into contracts.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Homeowner terms

• Getting quotes is free and no obligation.
• Photos and details you post must be your own to share and must not contain personal data of other people without permission.
• You are responsible for choosing the Pest Controller you engage and for the contract you enter into with them, including payment.

4. Pest Controller terms

• You must hold and maintain all qualifications, insurance and licences required to carry out pest control work in the UK.
• You warrant the accuracy of any documents you upload and consent to verification checks.
• You set your own prices and are solely responsible for the quality, safety and legality of the work you carry out.
• PestMatch may suspend or remove accounts that fail verification, breach these Terms or receive substantiated complaints.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
• impersonate any person or entity;
• upload malware, scrape or attempt to interfere with the Service;
• circumvent PestMatch to avoid fees or checks (Pest Controllers).

6. Payment

Currently, Homeowners pay their chosen Pest Controller directly. In-app payment features may be introduced in the future and will be governed by additional terms shown at that time.

7. Reviews and content

You grant PestMatch a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display content you submit (including photos, quotes and reviews) for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You retain ownership of your content.

8. Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, PestMatch is not liable for: (a) the acts or omissions of any Pest Controller or Homeowner; (b) the quality, safety or outcome of any pest control work; (c) indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.

9. AI identification

Our AI identification feature is provided as a helpful guide only and does not replace inspection by a qualified Pest Controller. Results may be inaccurate — please confirm before acting on them.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, for legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
